GP9r Project - Loosely based off the GTW GP-9 rebuild program, this loco started off as an older release GP-18 from P2K. THe grills were back dated to a Ph 3 GP-9 (grills not pictured but are in the box). The high-nose was chopped down, a Kato SD40-2 cab was added and a full sized fuel tank (seen drooping but thats just the double sided tape giving out) was added. Details Associates Roof-top Air Tanks were added, as was a DW roof top air conditioner and Strobe. Metal lift rings (DA) and new headlight castings have also been added. The drive is a “classic” P2K drive but with no cracked gears (at last run 3 months ago). Handrails, grills (DA replacements) and other small parts to finish the project are included. It was to be the first of a series of rebuilds that were from my old RR but since I have switched to the Rutland, definately not needed. - $40 obo - There is a picture on my site at http://rrgeekdev.googlepages.com/home
